To qualify for Chaplaincy Pro certification, candidates must meet the educational requirements for their chosen certification level:

Bachelor’s Degree: Required for Board-Certified Associate Chaplain and Board-Certified Associate Chaplain in Hospice and Palliative Care.
Master’s Degree: Required for Board-Certified Chaplain and Board-Certified Chaplain in Hospice and Palliative Care. The degree can be in religious studies or any related field.

To qualify for Chaplaincy Pro certification, candidates must have completed the required CPE training units for their selected certification level:

2 CPE units: Board-Certified Associate Chaplains and Board-Certified Associate Chaplains in Hospice and Palliative Care.
4 CPE units: Board-Certified Chaplains and Board-Certified Chaplains in Hospice and Palliative Care.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work with all belief systems and life philosophies without imposing their own beliefs, proselytizing, or attempting to fix others. The focus is on journeying with individuals and providing spiritual and emotional support as they share their life stories.

Comprehensive Life Account (7 pages):

Detail your journey, including your family system and personal understanding of your role as a Chaplain. Highlight significant moments and relationships that have shaped your path.

Video Supervision Presentation (60–90 min)

Submit a video recording (60–90 minutes) that captures a real-time supervision session. This presentation should reflect your approach to guiding trainees through clinical cases, addressing learning goals, group dynamics, and ethical reflection.

Reflective Supervision Paper (7 pages)

Submit a 7-page reflective paper analyzing the supervision session in your video presentation. Address your supervisory decisions, challenges encountered, and the educational strategies applied to guide the trainee’s growth.

Personality and Behavior Paper (7 pages)

Upload a 7-page paper exploring your personality traits and behavioral patterns. Describe how these influence your supervisory style, decision-making, and ability to support Chaplain trainees through diverse challenges.
