Welcome to the Chaplaincy Pro Certification application process—a key step toward professional excellence in spiritual care. Completing this application demonstrates your commitment to providing compassionate and inclusive support to those in need. Please complete all sections of this form thoroughly and accurately. Be sure to select your certification type from the dropdown menu to ensure proper processing. Important: Register as a member before proceeding. Begin by visiting Membership Registration. After registering, submit your application fee payment and enter the transaction ID in the designated field below. To qualify for Chaplaincy Pro certification, candidates must meet the educational requirements for their chosen certification level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Required for Board-Certified Associate Chaplain and Board-Certified Associate Chaplain in Hospice and Palliative Care.
  • Master’s Degree: Required for Board-Certified Chaplain and Board-Certified Chaplain in Hospice and Palliative Care. The degree can be in religious studies or any related field.

To qualify for Chaplaincy Pro certification, candidates must have completed the required CPE training units for their selected certification level:

  • 2 CPE units: Board-Certified Associate Chaplains and Board-Certified Associate Chaplains in Hospice and Palliative Care.
  • 4 CPE units: Board-Certified Chaplains and Board-Certified Chaplains in Hospice and Palliative Care.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work with all belief systems and life philosophies without imposing their own beliefs, proselytizing, or attempting to fix others. The focus is on journeying with individuals and providing spiritual and emotional support as they share their life stories.

Detail your journey, including your family system and personal understanding of your role as a Chaplain. Highlight significant moments and relationships that have shaped your path.


Provide a report highlighting a significant case or interaction (not older than 7 months) that demonstrates your role as a Chaplain. Include your assessment, actions taken, and reflections.


Upload a document demonstrating your understanding of theory and practice in Chaplaincy work. Include specific examples and insights gained during your training.


Upload your most recent resume, outlining your professional experience, education, and skills relevant to Chaplaincy work.


Submit your CPE Final Evaluation from your Supervisor and your own CPE Final Evaluation units if you have completed them at other CPE Centers. This step is optional but required if you have participated in other CPE units.
